Sharon Wensel was born in Phoenixville, Pennsylvania and currently resides in Skippack Pennsylvania. She has 2 amazing sons. She studied at Hussian School of Art, Pennsylvania Academy of the fine Arts and Montgomery County Community College. She is a member of the Philadelphia Sketch Club, MCGOPA, Tri State Artists Equity and Art Queen

The mediums Sharon uses vary from Oil or Acrylic Paint on Canvas, Gouache on linen or Mixed Media on Watercolor Paper. She also enjoys working with pastels. Recently she has been experimenting with mixed media on Yupo paper.
My work seeks to capture the connection between humanity and nature using art as the medium to evoke the same peace that one might feel while walking in the woods, gazing at the ocean or looking and smelling a bunch of flowers.
